El Dorado Hills Jiu Jitsu Shines at JJWL Stockton

This past weekend, El Dorado Hills Jiu Jitsu brought a team full of energy, grit, and heart to the JJWL tournament in Stockton. For many of our competitors, this was their first time stepping onto the competition mats, and they rose to the occasion with courage and determination. Overall as an association with AJJ Syndicate we finished in first place in the youth division!

Youth Standouts

Our youth team continues to impress, showing skill and composure well beyond their years.

Hazel came away with gold, marking a strong performance. Colin had a phenomenal showing, taking double gold in both gi and nogi, showing versatility and sharp technique.

These results highlight not just individual effort, but also the supportive environment our kids have created for each other on and off the mats.

Adult Standouts

The adult team also left a big mark on the event:

Chandler battled through a tough bracket, bouncing back after a referee decision in the first round against the eventual champion. He showed incredible resilience, winning five straight matches. Jerel embodied the true spirit of challenge, competing down three age divisions and up two weight classes in the black belt division. Taking on younger and heavier opponents is no small task, but Jerel’s grit and technique shone through.

Looking Ahead

We’re proud of everyone who competed, from the first-timers to the veterans. Competition is never easy; it demands preparation, courage, and the willingness to put yourself to the test. Every member of the team gained valuable experience that will fuel their growth on the mat.

We look forward to carrying this momentum into the next events and continuing to represent El Dorado Hills Jiu Jitsu with pride.
